Terms and Conditions - Using The Site



Searching

Use the search box at the top of the page to enter either the :

    The TITLE or PART OF THE TITLE - The search engine will return results containing the KEYWORDS you enter where it finds a match. Try to enter true key words from the title and avoid common words such as "and" "the" or similar. This is the best method of finding the book you are looking for since ISBNs can be easily mistaken.
    OR
    ISBN NUMBER - The International Standard Book Number - which has either ten or thirteen digits and occasionally has X as the last digit. Do not enter any spaces and ensure that each number is correctly entered otherwise the item will not be found.


Site Organization


  • The books are organized by subject and can be accessed in the "menu" on the left-hand side of the home page or by the browse and sections links on the home page - for all sections click here.
  • Individual book lists are organized with the latest publications at the top

  • If you know what you are looking for use the SEARCH facility to search by title or ISBN.



    • Buying Procedure


  • When you have found the book you are looking for use the "Click to Order" button to make your purchase. You will then be taken to our order-form where you will be asked to select your location and confirm your purchase either by payment on your credit card or by charging your account

  • If you simply want an accurate estimate of the costs of your purchases including postage, use the PROFORMA drop-down option and you may then print this out for future reference


    • Delivery


  • All books are despatched using a registered trackable service which will require a signature on delivery.
    Please ensure that there will be somebody available to sign for the books.

  • Books are normally despatched within 7 working days of receiving your order and we will then send you an e-mail advising you of the delivery date.


    • Cancellation and Returns


  • Your order can be cancelled at any time before delivery.
  • After delivery requests for returns should be sent to sales@stmbooks.co.uk outlining the reason for return together with the date and reference number of the purchase. All requests will be dealt with promptly - usually within 24 hours of receipt.


    • Security


  • All credit card numbers are processed using WORLDPAY. Your credit card details are not held in clear text on any part of our web site.
  • STM Books do not disclose buyers' information to third parties nor do they send random e-mails to personal e-mail addresses (spam)
  • Cookies are used on this shopping site to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart once you have selected an item, to store delivery addresses if the address book is used and to store your details if you select the 'Remember Me' Option.
